Welcome to Silver Springs!

Once, this mining camp was unmarked on any map.  Trains didn’t come close; heck, there wasn’t even a main road.  It existed only for Dr. Mularsky to continue her experiments.  She funded most of the camp’s existence, though others came to stake a claim – and take advantage of the remote location. 

Since the earthquake of 1849, the camp has exploded into a full-fledged town.  The shaking earth revealed rare minerals, and scientists and miners started coming out to get a piece of the ore.  Now, the town is looking to be one of the most technologically advanced in the Republic. Located on the western edge of Sharp’s Territory, it’s still remote, but has been flooded with all sorts of folks looking to get in on the action.  You can walk down most street and see clockwork marvels and steam wonders unheard of in most Republican towns.  Of course, most of the inventions are experimental, but many buildings still have electricity from Mularsky’s grid, and what the scientists lack in experience they make up for in enthusiasm!
